HP Q1997A AIT-1 tapes is an Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 170 meters which endows a native data storage capacity of 35GB that can be extended up to 70GB when compressed. It characterizes the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology combined with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that enables a high recording density and MIC (Memory in Cassette) technology which offers faster file access, increased dependability and higher data integrity.
