The first generation of AIT Tapes, called AIT-1, was introduced in 1996, and provided a native storage capacity of 25GB per tape cartridge, and with a maximum data transfer speed of 3MB/s. An extended-length version of AIT-1 was later introduced, which provided a capacity increase to 35GB per tape and a performance increase to 4MB/s.

HP Q1997A AIT Tape
HP Q1997A AIT-1 tapes is an Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 170 meters which endows a native data storage capacity of 35GB that can be extended up to 70GB when compressed. It characterizes the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology combined with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that enables a high recording density and MIC (Memory in Cassette) technology which offers faster file access, increased dependability and higher data integrity. The AIT's unique recording head and a third less tape tension enable this tape cartridge to have a longer life cycle than other tape technologies. The (AIT Tapes)HP Q1997A arrives sealed in a clear plastic casing which assists avert dust and static accumulation.
Soyn SDX1-35C-DL AIT Tape
Soyn SDX1-35C-DL Recertified Recertified is a high reuse content product helping environmental issues like pollution, oiluse, land-fills and may apply to government set corp.(AIT-1) recycling regulations. Recertified offer 5 years warranty and guarantee to perform like new. AIT Tapes available on ITDO.
Sony SDX1-35C AIT Tape
Sony SDX1-35C AIT-1 also called an Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT-1) format tape cartridge. It comes in a tape length of 230 meters which enables a native data storage capacity of 35GB that can be expanded up to 91GB when compressed. AIT Tapes sale in USA. It features the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology which allows maximum recording performance combined with Sony's DLC(Diamond-Like Carbon) layer that is 20 times harder than oxide, and so smooth that head wear and cleaning requirements are minimized, enabling a 30 year archival life. It also features R-MIC(Remote Memory in Cassette) technology which stores directory information so that it can go right to the data you need. Other formats have to search for your file, wasting valuable time and needless wear. The use of Helical Scan Technology enables the Sony SDX1-35C to sustain a 4MB/s native data transfer rate. The Sony SDX1-35C is available in sealed clear, transparent plastic casing which helps in averting dust and static accumulation.
Sony SDX1-25C-DL AIT Tape
he AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape) format is Sony SDX1-25C-DL latest innovation in fast-access, high-density tape recording technology. The extra large recording capacity (25GB uncompressed), fast data transfer speed (6MB per second), high speed file access (less than 27 seconds) and unsurpassed media and head life make AIT-1 Tape a true leader in tape technology. (AIT Tapes)Only Sony’s AIT format features Memory-In-Cassette (MIC), a memory chip built into the data cartridge. The MIC chip speeds data access by enabling users to load and unload the tape at any of its 256 on-tape partitions and locate files in seconds.
Sony SDX1-25C AIT Tape
Sony SDX1-25C AIT-1 tape is all known as Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT-1 Tape) format tape cartridge. It comes in a tape length of 170 meters which allows a native data storage capacity of 25GB that can be compressed upto 65GB . It characterizes the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology combined with Sony's DLC(Diamond-Like Carbon) layer that provide proven dependability and durability with a 30 year media life and R-MIC(Remote Memory in Cassette) technology which simplifies media management and speeds up access. The use of Helical Scan Technology enables the Sony SDX1-25C to sustain a 4MB/s native data transfer rate. The Sony SDX1-25C is available in sealed clear plastic casing which helps prevent against accumulation of dust and static . AIT Tape available on ITDO.
